Spring Forward!

Friday 20th March marked the first day of Spring (yay!) and on Sunday 29th of March the clocks get pushed forward into Summertime and finally, the brighter, warmer and nicer days of the year are finally upon us. Well, almost. We all know what the British weather is like!

Spring is such a lovely time of year. Everything starts to feel so much more fresh and all the greenery starts to make an appearance giving the world a brighter and happier look, especially when living in the big city! I for one am looking forward to these next few months, I hope they manage to help lift my spirits and low feelings so I can start to feel more like myself again! It's been a difficult time for me over the colder months so it'll be nice to wave goodbye to all of that and embrace the new seasons.
It's also a great way to start eating a little better as the days get warmer. I love eating well but it really can be so hard to do in the Winter when all you want are Hot Pots, Hot Chocolate and Soup! Comfort food becomes a thing of the past with the warmer months and fresh salads, ice cream and BBQ's become the norm! Ooooh I'm getting excited!
So here's to Spring & Summer and hopefully, the start of something better :)

Do you guys have anything planned for the Summer that you're looking forward to?

Spotlight On: Edinburgh!

So this weekend just gone, I decided to travel to the far North of this country to visit my good friend from Amy in Edinburgh, Scotland! I've never been to Scotland before and I just have to say, hands down, it was one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to in my life. It reminded me a bit of my University city (where I met Amy!) Lincoln!

It had so much history and liveliness to it, it really was stunning. I had a nice chilled weekend of walks, photography, good food and spending time with friends. (although I am completely shattered form it all still) So here are a few snaps of my weekend and if you've ever considered Edinburgh as a place to visit, then I strongly recommend you do!
